We are so proud of our local schools for their accomplishments at the West Virginia state FFA convention. Regardless of whether they took home any prizes, these students did, very much, gain something through the experience – and their participation in FFA in general.

Have you taken the time to talk to a student who is involved in the FFA organization? Have you observed the FFA-related coverage in the paper? These students are constantly busy, year-round! Besides their regular academic studies, those who participate in FFA are busy preparing for conventions, sales, shows, and more. They are constantly striving for further excellence within the organization, whether it be through state and national degrees, or other honors.

These young adults’ successes are our successes as well! They show us that agriculture is alive and well in our communities and state.

Their successes also show us that we have bright and ambitious youth prepared to lead in our future.
