Quite a Year
Reflecting on the 2017, for our Year in Review story, we wouldn’t blame anyone who would want to rush ahead to 2018.
It seems as if our county was hit with unique and monumentally tragic situations – a fatal plane crash, a devastating flood – to name just a couple. In the background of these headlines, we still had the usual bits of bad news – the continuing drug problem, or heinous acts described via court news.
However, as we referenced in our Year in Review, there were always moments of hope. We were able to write about kids doing remarkable things, whether it is collecting pop tabs for sick kids or displaying a random act of kindness to a stranger.
We had the true honor of interviewing some wonderful people, such as Bill Cross, who inspires us all to live life to the fullest.
Thus, regardless of what life hands to us in 2018, we know we will persevere – as we did in 2017. We will report on the bad, but also highlight the positive. There is always hope.
