While some of the youth of our county might disagree, we are excited for the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year! Classes began Monday for many students, with all grades attending on Tuesday.

School in session makes for a great county paper. We love to showcase our best and brightest through publishing the honor roll, or publishing other material – such as photos and articles – that highlight our local students’ achievements. Of course, our Sports Writer Bruce Crawford will be working non-stop, ensuring to capture all those extra-special sports-related moments.

For the kids out there – we encourage you to make the most of your school year. Try your hardest, and work to your full potential. Get involved. Join a club. We wish you the best of luck, and we hope to see you in the pages of our paper.
