Progress in the Storm

By Staff | Aug 9, 2017

We are grateful United States Senator Joe Manchin visited Hundred and Littleton on Monday. In just a few minutes, while at Hundred High School, Manchin was able to speak with representatives from FEMA and the state’s Department of Transportation. Manchin got the ball rolling, so to speak, on housing for displaced families, as well as getting repairs made to roads and bridges that suffered flood damage.

Likewise, we would be remiss if we did not credit our county and state leaders for their responses to the flooding. They ensured that response was quick and immediate to those affected by the flooding, and that help and supplies were on the way.

There is still a long road to recovery for Hundred and Pine Grove areas; there is still much to be done. Yet, with our political representatives advocating for us, we feel we will survive this storm.
