Opportunity for Change
We don’t know what the ultimate solution is to Pine Grove’s sewer system woes, but we are hoping the situation will improve with the upgrades to the system in certain areas of the town.
It certainly seems as if the town has had its fair share of bad luck lately, with financial problems, issues with garbage pickup, stolen property, and more. We feel for the citizens of Pine Grove.
And, although we don’t know the answers to some of the town’s troubles, we can encourage the citizens to vote in the upcoming election on Tuesday, June 13.
In this week’s Chronicle, you can see the ballot for the upcoming election in our legals/classified ads section. On our front page, you can read remarks made by several of the candidates at a “Meet the Candidates” forum held on May 6.
We encourage Pine Grove residents to study their candidates; ask questions to those vying for an office, and then cast a vote on June 13.
There are three candidates for mayor, and nine vying for a seat on the five-person council. There is a variety of different opinions and ideas.
Whatever you hope for, take ownership of your town. Let your voices be heard.
