Consider Giving To Gabriel Project

By Staff | Jul 27, 2016

Wetzel, and surrounding counties, are very much blessed to have citizens that want to give. This trait of our residents has been exemplified many times in the past, most recently through the implementation of a Gabriel Project location in Wetzel County. Thanks to the Gabriel Project, a family who might not be able to afford necessities such as formula, hygiene products, or even a crib for their newborn baby, may now have that option.

This organization doesn’t just offer tangible items though. The people there also offer wisdom and knowledge, whether it be advice from child rearing experience, or informative materials and answers to practical questions.

The Gabriel Project has had support, through donations from fellow organizations and entities, and the use of First Christian Church’s Disciple Center for its location. However, we should do our part to make sure the Gabriel Project remains a viable refuge of sorts for the most vulnerable in our community.

Check out gabrielwv.org to find out ways you can help out, or call the Maple Avenue, New Martinsville location at 304-398-4156. Hours of operation are every Tuesday and Thursday, noon to 4 p.m.

Whether you donate some gently used baby clothes, or a few bucks for some baby food, you are making a worthy investment in the future of our community – the children.
