Stealing From Children
Former Hundred High School Secretary Franklin Hixenbaugh was recently sentenced to one to 10 years in prison for embezzling money from the school.
In addition to the prison sentence, Circuit Judge David Hummel ordered Hixenbaugh to pay $27,926 in restitution and $22,000 in accounting costs associated with the investigation. Hixenbaugh claims remorse for his actions, but most people do once they’re caught. In handing down his sentence, Judge Hummel is sending a strong message. Stealing money from children, which is essentially what Hixenbaugh did, will not be tolerated.
