Surplus Money Leads To Much-Need Improvements
The Wetzel Country Board of Education recently put some surplus money towards a great investment – their schools. When students returned from their summer break, they discovered several much needed improvements.
These projects include paving, carpet replacement, and new doors and lights. Facilities improvements are a great investment, because they give the students and community something to take pride in.
The money was spread out among several schools in the district.
Some of the upgrades are not yet completed. Additional improvements include new phones in the classrooms, intercom systems, replacement of bathroom stalls and fencing. These projects individually are small, but they help promote school spirit, and will improve safety for the students and staff.
