Election Season
As most all of us can only be infinitely aware, the general election is quickly approaching.
We are constantly reminded of the choices we will face on the ballot via signs, advertisements, emails, social media, and whatever other means the politicians and their supporters can concoct. Quite frankly, we wouldn’t be surprised if some of them break out the Goodyear Blimp to spread their message.
Elections are necessary and they are the opportunity for the people to express their opinions at the polls. As always, we encourage you to go to the polls and cast your ballot. It is your right and privilege. But first, we hope you will invest the time to research the candidates and make an informed choice.
This week we will be sending out our questionnaires to candidates in local contested races. We will print their responses in question-and-answer form in the Oct. 29 edition. We hope you will read them well and make your decisions accordingly.
As for the U.S. Senate race, we hope the story, below, of their debate last week helps to shed some light on those candidates.
Finally, please note our political policy on this page. There are certain rules we abide by in the coming weeks.
