Finally Infuriating

By Staff | Apr 24, 2013

The national news events of last week were nothing short of shocking, sometimes riveting, always frustrating, and ultimately infuriating.

When two explosions occurred near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on April 15, we were all shocked and left asking questions. As the evidence and leads were exposed, we began to piece these horrible acts of violence together. By Friday, when one suspect was killed and another was on the run, we were left with no other emotion than outrage.

Odd that it took that long for us to truly embody that emotion? Perhaps. But the scale of terror and paralysis that manhunt hurled on Boston was just the final insult. That one man could hold an entire city hostage was nothing sort of infuriating. We don’t blame the authorities for issuing the lockdown. It was needed. Nonetheless, the power one terrorist punk could have, even while hiding, seriously wounded, in a tarped boat was far too great.
