Register Your Damage
This week Governor Earl Ray Tomblin issued a plea for all West Virginians affected by the June 29 storm, virtually all Mountaineers, to register with the Federal Emergency Management Agency for assistance.
Registering does not mean you will get any funding from FEMA, but it could help get more counties declared eligible for financial assistance.
What do you have to lose, other than a few moments of your time?
If you suffered any financial losses from the storm and the subsequent power outages, please make the call. It might help you and your neighbors. But it takes everyone to make the massive amount of damage known. Time is running out as disaster declarations must be made by mid-October. So make that call today.
