In A Time Of Need

By Staff | Oct 5, 2011

It seemed eerily ironic to us that as voters were at the polls Tuesday deciding the fate of the EMS/fire levy, our office scanner seemed to be going non-stop with medical emergencies throughout the county. One call that seemed particularly dire was closest to the Hundred EMS station and we couldn’t help but hope someone was ready to respond from there and wonder what would happen if that station would need to close without additional funding.

Thankfully the voters of the county rather overwhelmingly showed their morale and financial support for these emergency services. Sure, the additional tax payment is never easy to make, but neither is suffering if first responders are not available in your crisis. We believe you made the right decision.
