Levy Is Important
We simply ran out of time and space this week for a very important story-one examining the Fire and EMS Levy that is being voted upon in the Oct. 4 election. Sure, Oct. 4 is almost two weeks away, but early voting begins today and we wanted to do our part in educating voters. Unfortunately it just wasn’t possible to get it in this edition of the Wetzel Chronicle. You can, however, rest assured that we will print the piece in the Sept. 28 edition.
So for those of you heading to the early polls, we hope you will do your own research, maybe even attend the final public meeting to be held Thursday, 7 p.m., at Paden City High?School to educate yourself. Every voter should be an informed one.
Consider the need, consider the cost, and consider what would happen if your local fire or EMS station had to close for lack of funding. We hope you’ll find reason to vote in the affirmative.
