JULIE METZ

Julie Kay Metz, 64, of Smithfield, WV, passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV, on September 15, 2026.

She was born May 4, 1963, in New Martinsville, WV, the daughter of the late Roy A. and Carthia J. Price Metz.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lavonna Adams, a sister-in-law, Ruth Metz, and a brother-in-law, James Haught.

Surviving is a son, Jeremiah Metz, three grandchildren, Trinity, Isiah and Eli Metz, three siblings, Freda Haught, Randall Metz and Nelda (Alan) Haught, a brother-in- law, Frank Adams, several nieces and nephews.

She loved listening to music, word puzzles and cooking.

Friends will be received Saturday, September 19, 2026, from noon until the time of the funeral at 2 PM. Private interment at the Whetstone Cemetery, Mannington, WV. Online condolences may be expressed at palmer funeral.com.
