Memorial Hospital in

Marietta, OH.

He was born on June

7, 1938, in New Martinsville, WV, a son of

the late Joseph

Marshall Newman and

Emma Mary Starkey

Newman.

Ronald was a retired

operator with Ormet

Industries for over 42

years. He was a

member of the First

Christian Church of

New Martinsville,

WV. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening,

and carpentry.

In addition to his

parents, he was preceded in death by a

brother, Donald Newman; and a sister,

Joann Cecil.

Ronald is survived

by his loving wife of

69 years, Viola

Henthorn Newman,

one daughter, Sharon

R. Newman of New

Martinsville; one son,

Ronnie (Tracy Hudkins) Newman of Sistersville, WV; two sisters, Jacklyn Boyd of

California, and Marilyn Yoho of New Martinsville; and several

nieces and nephews.

Family will receive

friends on Wednesday

July 29, 2026 from 4

p.m. until 7 p.m. at

Grisell Funeral Home

& Crematory, 751 3rd

Street, New Martinsville, WV where funeral services will be

held on Thursday, July

30, 2026 at 1 p.m.

with Darrell Mayfield

officiating. Burial will

follow at Northview

Cemetery in New Martinsville, WV.
