JOHN ANDERSON

John Christopher Anderson, age 77, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away June 24, 2026, at the New Martinsville Health and Rehab Center in New Martinsville, WV.

He was born June 8, 1949, in Knob Fork, WV, a son of the late Melvin Edward Anderson and Katherine Louise Cosgray Anderson.

John graduated from Hundred High School in Hundred, WV, and went on to serve his country as an aviation tech in the United States Navy.

He entered into active duty in Moffett Field, CA on February 13, 1973. He received numerous military accolades including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Letter of Commendation, and the Meritorious Service Medal.

After his military service, he went on to work in the airline industry with Lockheed Martin.

John was an avid fisherman, a beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed by many.
