WAYNE MASON

Wayne Thomas Mason “Pappy”, 70, of New Martinsville, WV earned his wings on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 while at his home with his family by his side.

Wayne was born September 15, 1955, in Weirton, WV son of Genelda (Rine) Mason of Bebee, WV and the late Wells Junior Mason.

He was a retired chemical operator and previously had been a welder for the former Ormet Corp., enjoyed farming, spending time with his grandchildren and baseball games and he was a member of the Antioch Christian Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George F. Williams, mother- in-law, Wanda Williams and brother-in- law, George A. Williams.

Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife of forty-nine years, Judy (Williams) Mason; son, Drew (Crissy Mace) Mason; daughter, Aimee (Tim) Carpenter of New Martinsville, WV; brother, Roger (Regina) Mason of Proctor, WV; sister, Linda (Bill) Hamlin of St. Clairsville, OH; six grandchildren, Brandon (Liz Lunsford) Mason, Wyatt Mason, John Mace, Reagan Mason, Conner Carpenter and Tucker Mason; brother-in-law, Bill (Lori) Williams; sisters-in-law, Becky (Greg) Swords and Teresa (Bill) Thorn and several nieces, nephews, cousins and several close friends.

Friends received 2-8 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2026 at the Jarvis Williams Funeral Home, 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville where services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2026 burial to follow in the Fitzsimmons Cemetery on Doolin Run Road.
