Edward “Pap” Wilson

Edward “Pap” Wilson, 90, of Paden City, WV passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026 in Wheeling Hospital.

Edward was born May 2, 1935 in Jacksonburg, WV; son of the late Edward and Virchie (Jackson) Wilson.

Pap was a member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ. He was retired from Wissmach Glass Co. after 41 years of dedicated work. Pap was known by many, was devoted to his wife, Betty and their children. He was a Christian man, who read his Bible daily. He loved reminiscing about the old days and messaging his family and friends daily. He also loved to watch wrestling, WWE Smack Down being something he never missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Underwood Wilson, his wife, Betty Bombe Wilson, of 58 years; son, Robert E. Wilson, grandson Steven Wilson, great granddaughter, Libby McKenna, and his fifteen brothers and sisters.

He is survived by devoted children, Cecile Doiron (Chuck) Fiest, Shirley Doiron (Roger) Miller, and Jake Doiron (Judy Hughan); eight grandchildren, Johnny Miller, Christy Fiest Shinnick, David Miller, Nicole Doiron McKenna, Rebbeca Wilson Moore, Kimberly Wilson Myers, Mars Doiron and Virgil Doiron; ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 Monday, February 16, 2026 at the Jarvis Willaims Funeral Home 1224 S Bridge St., New Martinsville, where services will be held Tuesday, February 17, 2026 with burial to follow at the Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville, WV 26155.
