Charles Lloyd Whaley

Charles Lloyd Whaley, 88, of Paden City, WV passed Monday, January 19, 2026.

Charles was born in Clendenin, WV on July 5, 1937, son of the late Giles and Frances (Parsons) Whaley.

He retired from Ormet Reduction after forty years as a welder. Charles was a member of United Steelworker Local 5725 and served his local as Vice President, Financial Secretary, Treasurer and Trustee. He was Chairman of the Workers Compensation Committee. Charles was Chairman of the West Virginia AFL-CIO Political Action Committee. He was an avid golfer and fisherman, WVU Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Golden Eagle member of Paden City Eagles Aerie #2281.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara (Henthorn) Whaley; sons, Michael Whaley and Gregory Whaley; niece, Lisa McManus; sisters, Barbara Jean, infant twins and Carole McManus.

Surviving is his daughter, Michele (Joe) Rosenlieb of Clarington, OH; nephew, Bob McManus

At Charles request there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Paden Memorial Gardens in Paden City.
