Robert “Bob” Sherwood Rose

Robert “Bob” Sherwood Rose, 81, of Paden City, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 while in Wetzel County Hospital.

The son of the late Romey “Jack” and Tempest (Palmer) Rose. He was born in Steubenville, OH on June 17, 1944.

He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Russell Rose and Olive (Dakan) Foughty and maternal grandparents, William and Sara (Nolan) Palmer, and four infant daughters, Kristine Lynn, Tina Lea, Tonya Ann and Kelley Sue Rose.

He is survived by his daughter, Shanna (Allen) Rose Trader of Paden City; granddaughter, Amber Rose Cox of Paden City, WV; brother, Sherril Rose of Florida and a sister, Linda (Richard) Kernan of New Martinsville, WV and several nieces, nephews and many friends.

He was a graduate of Hundred High School, Class of 1963. He retired from Ormet Corp after forty years of service. He loved hunting and sports and spending time with his family. He was a member of Moose Lodge 931 of New Martinsville, WV, The Fraternal Order of the Eagles 2281 of Paden City, WV, St. Marys Elks WV Lodge 1701, a social member of VFW Post of Sistersville, WV. A member of the Sistersville First Christian Church.

Will be buried in Wileyville Cemetery, Wileyville, WV.
