John Herbert Melvin

John Herbert Melvin, 69 of Smithfield, WV and Chesterfield, VA who passed away Friday, August 8, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Louise Melvin, and brother David Timothy Melvin and his wife Tina.

John is survived by his wife of 38 years Pamela Melvin, his daughter Nicole Melvin, and three siblings, Carol Rodriguez, Michael Melvin (Pamela) and Cheryl Stinson.

John enjoyed his retirement to West Virginia and a simple quiet mountain life. He will be greatly missed and may he rest easy at the poker table in the sky. “I’m in the middle, I’m in the cup.”

There will be no funeral services as cremation was chosen as the final method of disposition. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of the final arrangements.
