Michael Brian Stackpole
Michael Brian Stackpole, age 63, of Piney, WV, passed away Monday, July 14, 2025, at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center Bridgeport, WV, surrounded by his loved ones.
He was born November 14, 1961, in New Martinsville, WV, a son of the late Raymond and Carole Sue Pyles Stackpole.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Debbie Stackpole, and cherished son, Scotty. Their absence left deep marks on his heart, but their love remained a guiding light in his life.
He had a strong and lasting bond with the mother of his three sons, Tammy (Jr) Shimp. He also leaves behind five children, Shawn (Ashley), Chad (Betsy) Krista (Robert Call) Cheyenne and Mikey, as well as nine grandsons, with one on the way, and three granddaughters, who were the pride and joy of his life. His role as a father and grandfather was one he cherished, and he poured his heart into every moment with them. Mike also leaves behind his sister, Tammy (Frank) Ellis and niece, Chelsea and nephew, Kyle.
For over 40 years, Michael worked at Kammer Plant, where he was respected for his hard work, dependability, and commitment to his coworkers.
Michael was the most selfless person you could meet. He put his family first in every decision, never once seeking praise or recognition. He simply gave his time, his heart, and his strength, because that’s who he was.
His passing leaves a hole in many hearts, but the legacy he built through love, sacrifice, and integrity will live on in his children, grandchildren, and all who had the honor of knowing him.
Family will receive friends on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 11am until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV, with Frank Ellis officiating.
Interment will follow in Northview Cemetery New Martinsville, WV.
