Roger Lee Snyder

Roger Lee Snyder, age 80 of Hannibal, OH passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at his home on November 15, 2024.

He was born December 22, 1943 in Middlebourne, WV the son of the late Clay and Virginia Thomas Snyder.

Roger served in the Army National Guard from 1965-1972. He is a former member of the Moose Lodge #931 and the Moose International; a member of the New Martinsville United Methodist Church and retired from Bayer Chemical after 30 years of service.

Roger loved classic cars, fishing and being with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Snyder, and a brother-in-law, Ron Swisk.

He is survived by his lifelong love and wife of 59 years, Jane Swisk Snyder; three sons, Roger David (Cindy) Snyder of Lithia, FL , Robert James (Felicia) Snyder of Lockport, NY, and Matthew Scott (April) Snyder of Myakka City, FL; half siblings, Marcella, Bobby and Eugene; brother in law, Jim (Sharon) Swisk of Lansing, MI; sister in laws, Barabara Swisk of Sarasota, FL and Carol Swisk of St. Clairsville, OH; grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew, Ashley, Megan, Nicholas, Merissa, Landon, Katelyn, Kristen, Brandon, Hannah, Luke and Logan; great grandchildren, Loic, Emersyn, Kylynn, Kendall, Abigail, Colson, Ryker, and Alayna; and his golden retriever, Sam.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 at 1pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third Street, New Martinsville, WV.
