Jon Pell,

84, formerly of New Martinsville, WV, passed away peacefully at Kindred Hospital in Ocala, FL.

He was born in 1938, son of the late Walter and Virginia (Monger) Pell. Jon graduated from Pine Grove High School and served in the US Army. He retired from Ormet Corporation and was a Methodist by faith. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 931, the American Legion Post 28, and the AF & AM Wetzel Lodge No. 39. Jon loved life, and he always wore a smile. He enjoyed the early years of his retirement by traveling across the country with his wife in his motorhome. He was an avid NASCAR fan, loved to ride 4-wheelers in Tucker County, hunting and fishing.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Pell of Winchester, VA.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Sena Pell; children, Jennifer Schneid and Janet Pell of Columbus, Julie Cunningham (Robert) of Wheeling; brother, Pete Pell of Fairmont; grandchildren, Tiffany Gleason (Tyler), Ian Schneid, Max Cunningham, Lucas Cunningham; several nieces and nephews; and very dear friends he considered family. Jon will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.
