Edwin L. Rial,

age 61, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023, at WVU Wheeling Hospital.

He was born May 15, 1961, in Glen Dale, WV, a son of the late John Robert and Lillian Ardelle Connor Rial.

Edwin was chemical line worker for Arrow Terminal and a sergeant with the U. S. Army with an honorable discharge.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Jay Carpenter II; a granddaughter, Jayden Eileen Mangino; 2 brothers, Frankie and Michael Rial

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Sandra June Harden Rial; 2 daughters, Christine Nicole Rial and Kimberly June Rial, both of New Martinsville; grandson, Jeremiah Alexander Carpenter of Shinnston, WV brother, John (Shelby) Rial of New Martinsville; two sisters, Lisa (Scott) Straight of New Martinsville and Roberta (Derek) Rial Fiest of Wheeling, WV.

Family will receive friends on Friday from 11 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV, with Pastor Larry Bayle officiating.

Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
