Jonathan L. “Stump” Hawkins,

age 28, of New Martinsville, WV, passed away Friday, December 23, 2022, at WVU Medicine Wetzel County Hospital New Martinsville, WV.

He was born March 16, 1994, in New Martinsville, a son of Bobby Hawkins and Pamela Patterson Bess.

He was an equipment operator for Litman Excavating New Martinsville.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Kathy Ward and paternal grandparents, Samuel and Ruth Bland Hawkins.

Survivors include his daughter, Kylee Hawkins of Middlebourne, WV; mother, Pamela (Josh) Bess of New Martinsville; father, Bobby Hawkins of New Martinsville; brother, Devin Hawkins of New Martinsville; sister, Lexie Hawkins of New Martinsville and maternal grandfather, Richard (Terri) Patterson of New Martinsville.

Family will receive friends on Friday December 30, 2022, from 11:00 am until time of service at 1:00 pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville.

Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
