Wade, Edwin Lee

Wade, Edwin Lee, 67, of New Martinsville, died at home September 25, 2008.

Edwin was born on July 30, 1941, at Maud, son of the late Arthur Lee and Madonna Harrison Wade.

He was a retiree of Laborer’s Local #1149 of Wheeling and a member of Harvest Baptist Church, Moundsville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald “Bill” and Norman (Phyllis) Wade; two sisters, Wanda (Gene) Parsons; and Elva (Lloyd) Smith; two brothers-in-law, Harold White and Jesse Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Alta Taylor.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Janet White Wade; eight children: Judy Anne Staley of New Martinsville, David Gene Wade and his wife Amy of New Martinsville, Ricky Lee Wade and his wife Cindy of Smithfield, Julia Lynne Weisel and her husband Donald of Wheeling; Darlene Kay Wade, Jamey Edwin Wade and his wife Sondra Dawn of New Martinsville; Sherry Diana Klug and her husband Brian of Proctor, and Samuel Arthur Wade and his wife Jamie of Middlebourne; 14 grandchildren: Sean and Derek Staley, Spencer and Carson Wade, Drew and Kiersten Wade, Jamey Edwin Wade II; Noah Wade; Erica Mae and Bailey Lee Leasure, Matthew Klug, Gabriella, Breanna and Madison Wade; a sister, Maxine Anderson of Clarksburg, W.Va.; three sisters-in-law, Ruth Wade of Jacksonville, Fla., Loretta Williams of Moundsville, and Vilda and Melvin Dennis of New Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received from 2-9 p.m. Sept. 28 at Williams Funeral Home, Pine Grove, where services were held at 11 a.m. Sept. 29 with Pastor Dale Hostuttler officiating.

Interment in Northview Cemetery, New Martinsville.

A dinner followed at the New Martinsville Fire Hall, Ohio Street, New Martinsville.
