Students in the Electrical Technology program at WCTEC recently achieved a major milestone, as 12 senior students successfully passed their Journeyman Electrician Exam on April 21. This accomplishment highlights the dedication, technical skill, and hard work demonstrated by the students throughout their training.

Since January, the seniors have been consistently completing practice tests and preparing for the exam as part of their classroom instruction and hands-on training. Their commitment to studying and improving their skills played a major role in their success.

The Electrical Technology program prepares students with hands-on experience and industry-based instruction in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems. Passing the Journeyman Exam is an important step toward entering the workforce as qualified electricians and demonstrates the high level of training being provided at WCTEC.

Instructor Mr. Hearn praised the students for their commitment and perseverance throughout the year. “I’m extremely proud of these students and the effort they put in every day,” said Mr. Hearn. “These seniors have been working through practice tests since January and staying focused on their goal. Passing the Journeyman Exam is not easy, and this achievement shows the knowledge, determination, and work ethic they have developed during their time in the program.”

WCTEC administration also congratulates the students on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to seeing their future success in the electrical industry.
