For the ninth year in a row, the Dustin “Dusty” Wade car show recently took place in New Martinsville with nearly 75 classic cars along with modern cars, turning out in support and memory Dusty. The show was held at the New Martinsville United Methodist Church behind Captain Richard’s.

The large turnout of cars was only surpassed by the crowd of car lovers who look forward to seeing the many styles and types of vehicles that show up each year.

This year there were a great many trucks in the day’s competition. A couple trucks were rare in the automotive world.

If you are a lover of Corvettes, the day’s displays of the sleek beauties had several for the visitors to dream of owning.

This year there was something a little different in a few vehicles. They appeared to have been in a demolition derby, but were competitive mud and dirt racing vehicles.

Inside the United Methodist Church, a silent auction took place. Hundreds of bids were placed on the dozens of donated gifts. At the end of the day, bids were collected and winners were announced.

The Dusty Wade Car Show uses the proceeds from the show to benefit families and individuals who have expenses while they are undergoing long term medical treatments. Over the years the show’s donations have helped many children and families in the area.
