Cochran, Lanza United in Marriage
Amanda Cochran and Joseph Lanza were united in marriage on July 4, 2015 at 6 p.m. at the Steppingstone Farm Museum in Havre de Grace, MD. Many family members were present and part of the relaxed and rustic wedding celebration. The bride wore a lace ball gown, veil, and carried a bouquet of wildflowers. The bridesmaids wore light blue dresses and carried bouquets of wildflowers. The groom wore a white silk shirt, khaki linen pants, and a boutonniere of wildflowers and herbs.
Arnold Cochran, father of the bride, escorted Amanda down the aisle. Stacy Barcus, cousin of the bride, and Carol (Wykert) O’Neil, friend of the bride, served as bridesmaids. Nicholas Cochran, brother of the bride, read a special Irish Blessing at the ceremony. Patty Barcus, aunt of the bride, delivered a blessing before the reception meal.
Amanda is the daughter of Arnold and Debhra Cochran of New Martinsville, West Virginia and the granddaughter of Lloyd and Lottie Cochran (both deceased) and Bud Lucas of Piedmont, Ohio. Joseph is the son of Bernard and Deborah Lanza of Fishkill, New York.
Amanda is a 2000 graduate of Magnolia High School, 2004 graduate of Marshall University with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education, a 2010 graduate of Towson University with a Master of Science in Instructional Technology, and a 2014 graduate of Towson University with a Master of Science in Human Resource Development. Amanda is currently employed as a Specialist in the Office of Digital Learning for Baltimore County Public Schools.
Joseph is a 2003 graduate of Beacon High School in Beacon, New York and a 2006 graduate of The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Joseph is currently employed as an Executive Chef for the Compass Group.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Antigua, and now resides in a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland.
