Barbara and Donel Barker

Donel and Barbara Barker of Reader are proud to announce their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on February 9, 1964, in Oakland Md.

Barbara is the daughter of the late Boyd and Ruth (Curtis) Higgins of Reader. Donel is the son of the late Elza and Lena (Fluharty) Barker of Pine Grove.

Donel retired from Ormet with 39-and-a-half years of service.

They have two children, Melissa (Robert) Carter of Folsom and Theresa (Tom) Jones of Knob Fork. They have four grandchildren, Ashley (Zack) White of Hundred, Justin and Alisha Carter of Folsom, and Peyton Jones of Knob Fork.
