Jim and Brenda Still

Jim and Brenda Still of Wellsburg W.Va., observed their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 13. They were married on Friday the 13th, 1963, at Hastings, W.Va. The minister who performed the ceremony had also been married on Friday the 13th. A celebration of the 50 years was held in July 2013 on a beach vacation with their family at Nags Head, N.C.

Brenda is the daughter of the late William and Mary Shuman of Pine Grove, and Jim is the son of the late Paul and Emma Still of Jacksonburg.

Jim and Brenda both graduated from Pine Grove High School in 1960. Jim is retired from Weirton Steel, and Brenda is retired as a legal secretary.

They are the parents of two daughters, Tiffany Boury of Wheeling and Janeen Knaub of Strasburg, Colo. They have three grandchildren.
