Donald and Erma Watts

Donald and Erma Watts of New Martinsville celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 10. The couple was married in 1948 at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Pine Grove by Rev. Glenn D. Watts, father of the groom.

They are the parents of two daughters, Donna (Robert) Jones of Paden City and Brenda (Bill) Fisher of New Martinsville.

They have four grandchildren: Marsha (Joe) Craycraft of Wheeling, Kenneth (Lori) Fisher of New Martinsville, Brian Jones of Paden City, and Angela Walter of Colorado Springs; five great-grandchildren, Nathan, Kelsey, and Lola Fisher of New Martinsville and Emma and Sarah Craycraft of Wheeling.

Don is retired from Hope Natural Gas Company where he worked as a welder. Erma retired from Wetzel County Schools where she was the secretary at Valley High School and Short Line School.

A family celebration was held in their honor.
