Michelle Powell and Michael Smith

Michelle Powell and Michael Smith are happy to announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kenneth Powell Jr. of Paden City and Dee Powell of New Martinsville. Michelle is a 2008 graduate of Magnolia High School and 2013 graduate of West Liberty University with a bachelor’s of science in business administration with a specialization in accounting. She is currently employed with People’s Bank.

The groom-to-be is the son of Robert and Dawn Smith of Proctor. Michael is a 2006 graduate of Magnolia High School. He is currently employed with Elk Energy Services as a Stone Energy Consultant. Along with work, Michael is a volunteer firefighter for New Martinsville. He has been involved in firefighting for 10 years.

A firefighter-themed wedding will be held at Grand Vue Park on June 20, 2014. The couple will reside in New Martinsville.
