Bud and Helen (Berry) Harter in 1952

Bud and Helen (Berry) Harter recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

Both were both graduates of Pine Grove HIgh School. They were married on Dec. 5, 1952, in Pine Grove. Bud was employed at the Hope Gas Company and Helen at Columbia Southern.

They moved to Pennsylvania in 1953 and have lived in Greensburg for the past 43 years.

Bud retired from Peoples Gas and Helen from PPG Industries.

Their daughter, Melanie, is married to Dr. Jack Kibelbek and they live in Morrow, Ohio. They have three sons, Nathan, Jonas (Hannah), and Andrew.

Their son, Dr. Scott Harter, is married to Lorie Eberhardt and they live in Greensburg also. They have three sons, Joshua, Garrett, and Aaron, and one daughter, Rachel.

They celebrated their special event with a family dinner at Morton’s in Pittsburgh and will be taking a cruise through the Panama Canal in February.
