Ashley Marie Hart and John Wesley Smith

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hart of Cameron, W.Va., and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jacobs of Wind Ridge, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Marie Hart, to John Wesley Smith, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Smith of New Martinsville.

Ashley is a 2006 graduate of West Greene High School and a 2010 graduate of Waynesburg University with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education.

She is employed by Marshall County as a special education teacher at Cameron Elementary.

John is a 2002 graduate of Magnolia High School and a 2006 graduate of West Virginia University with a teaching degree in Agricultural Education.

He is employed by Marshall County as an agricultural education teacher and assistant baseball coach at Cameron High School.

Ashley’s maternal grandparents are Ed and Shirley Franko of Wind Ridge, Pa. Her paternal grandparents are Jack Hart Sr. and the late Sandra Hart and paternal great-grandmother, Mildred Hart.

John’s maternal grandparents are the late Jim Steele and Luana “Bug” Steele. Paternal grandparents are Richard and Evelyn Smith.

A wedding is planned for the summer of 2012.
