Cloy and Dan Winland

Dan and Cloy Winland will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on June 13.

They were united in marriage on June 13, 1961, at the Steelton United Methodist Church, by Rev. Frank Bourner.

Cloy was a beautician for many years. She later worked as a Teacher’s Aide for Wetzel County Board of Education. She retired after 30 years of service.

Dan worked for Viking Glass. He later worked and retired from Ormet.

They are the parents of three children. The family includes Kelly Taylor and her husband, Mark; Tara Lane and her husband, Tally; and Matthew Winland and his wife, Kaari. They have seven grandchildren.

To celebrate their anniversary, their family surprised them with a dinner and dance at the Mollohan Center.
