Staci Ann Ligouria Standiford and Daniel Fonner

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Standiford of New Martinsville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Staci Ann Ligouria, to Daniel Fonner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Fonner of New Martinsville.

Standiford is a 2007 graduate of Magnolia High School and is a 2011 summa cum laude graduate of Marshall University. She has been accepted to Duquesne University’s School of Law and will begin in August 2011. Fonner is a 2008 graduate of Magnolia High School and will graduate from Duquesne University in 2012.

Standiford earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations in May. During her four years of undergraduate work, she worked as a reporter and editor of the student newspaper and completed marketing and public relations internships at Oglebay Institute and West Virginia Northern Community College.

Fonner is obtaining a bachelor’s degree in percussion music performance. He has attended the Boston University Tanglewood Institute and the Lee Howard Stevens Marimba summer seminar. He performs in Duquesne University’s percussion ensemble and orchestra. He plans to continue his education with a master’s degree in music theory.

Standiford is the granddaughter of Bernice Fluharty, Ann Standiford and the late William Standiford of New Martinsville.

Fonner is the grandson of Fredrick Fonner and the late Mary Ann Fonner of New Martinsville and the late George and Marge Finney of North Huntingdon, Pa.

Standiford and Fonner will wed July 30 in New Martinsville.
