Shreves Will Mark 40th Anniversary
Stanley and Sally Shreve will be celebrating their 40th anniversary with a party hosted by their children, Stephanie (Mark) Moore, Scott Shreve, and Sean (Ashley) Shreve.
The event is open to anyone who would like to share the joy and happiness of the evening from 5-9 p.m., Dec. 20, at the Mollohan Center, Wetzel County 4-H Campgrounds.
A ceremony to renew their vows is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jim Potts. The couple requests no presents or gifts.
Stanley is the son of the late James Oscar Lee Shreve and Opal Lowe Morgan. Sally is the daughter of the late Wayne and Pauline Rawe. Magnolia High School sweethearts since Oct. 17, 1964, the couple was married at the Steelton Methodist Church on Dec. 20, 1968, by Rev. Newton Poling.
Stanley was in the U.S Army and had completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. In addition to their three children, Stanley and Sally are blessed with eight grandchildren, Connor and Aislinn Goddard of Clarington; Peyton and Clara Moore of New Martinsville; and Avery, Sydney, Colson, and Laney Shreve from Front Royal, Va.
