As part of its annual tradition, Journey Hospice will begin sale of 2008 Keepsake Ornaments on Dec. 1. Trees will be displayed at the following locations: Union Bank in Middlebourne, Sistersville General Hospital lobby, and Wetzel County Hospital lobby and Quinet’s Court Restaurant in New Martinsville. The sale of these ornaments is the major fund raising event, the proceeds of which benefit Hospice patients. The local Journey Hospice staff and volunteers have served the area communities of Wetzel, Tyler, Pleasants, and Monroe counties for more than 17 years. Ornaments may be purchased in several ways: Calling Tree Captains: Fran Caldwell/Court Restaurant, 455-5092; Jane Snyder/WCH, 740-483-2414; Alma Barnard/SGH, 652-2146; and Mary Thomas/Union Bank, 758-4552. Or by calling the Journey Hospice office at 447-2464 or 1-800-303-2611. Each tree location will also have forms available to fill out and place in a box. The cost of each ornament is $10. The ornaments will be displayed on the Christmas Trees and then mailed back to the donor in mid-January. Anyone preferring to pick the ornament up before that time can contact the tree captain.
