Ken Williams and Lara Sawinski

Ken Williams of Belle Vernon, Pa., and Lara Sawinski of Paden City wish to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

Williams is the son of Bill and Kathie Williams of Mendon, Pa. He is a 1985 graduate of Yough High School and is an Army Veteran. He is currently employed by Warren Distribution in Glen Dale, WV as the Preventative Maintenance Manager. Williams is the proud father of Nicole Williams, a 2007 BVA graduate and Ken Williams Jr. who will graduate from BVA in 2009.

Sawinski is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hackathorn of Moundsville. She is a graduate of WVNCC with a PC Specialist/Computer Operations Certificate; a graduate of WVU-P with an AA degree in General Education and a B.A in Elementary Education. She is currently completing graduate courses for a M.Ed degree in School Counseling. She is the proud parent of Randelyn and Logan and is Jocelyn’s “Nana”. She is employed by the West Virginia Department of Education at the Northern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Wheeling.

A garden wedding at Oglebay Park is planned for June 2009. The couple will reside in Paden City during the construction of their log home in Dillonvale, Ohio.
