Jana Marie Gil and Andrew John (A. J.) Thomas

Gary and Denise Gil of New Martinsville are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jana Marie Gil, to Andrew John (A. J.) Thomas, son of Michael Thomas of New Martinsville and Rhonda Longwell of Sistersville.

Jana is a 2001 graduate of Magnolia High School, a 2005 graduate of Marietta College with a major in Spanish and minors in Latin American studies and leadership and a 2007 graduate of Ohio University in Athens with a Master of Arts Degree in Spanish. She is currently employed by Tyler County Schools as a Spanish Teacher.

A. J. is a 2002 graduate of Magnolia High School and a 2007 graduate of West Virginia University with a degree in agricultural business management. He is currently employed at Bayer Material Science as the card access administrator.

The couple has plans to marry in August 2009.
