ArtsLink’s 2021-22 Concert Series continues on Sunday, October 24 with a performance of “Snow White” by the Oglebay Institute Youth Ballet. The show will start at 2pm at the Lincoln Theater with opening numbers by the All Valley School of Dance.

A spirited retelling of the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, Snow White is performed by Oglebay Institute’s Youth Ballet Company and features exciting choreography, spectacular sets and costumes.

The ballet version of Snow White, like the fairy tale, follows Snow White on her adventure as she meets a forest full of friends, including seven spirited dwarfs who help her regain her rightful place against her jealous stepmother.

“Children can cheer on the young heroine and her prince as they foil the plots of the wicked queen,” said Oglebay Institute director of dance Cheryl Pompeo. She added that the show brings plenty of energy, fun, suspense and new twists to this familiar classic, keeping the attention of young audiences. “This show is a great introduction to the arts and to the joy of dance,” she said, “and it is a wonderful family activity.”

Tickets for ArtsLink members are $10 for an individual and $20 for a family (2 adults and kids under 18), for non-members $15 for individuals and $25 for a family, students are $5, and will e available at the door.
