Autumn Fest Schedule

The Wetzel County Autumn Festival will officially kick off on Friday October 8, 2021. Thursday, October 7 is the day for Vendor setup and campers to take their places. The following day, October 8, tractor and engine early set up starts at 8:00 AM followed by Pumpkin Decorating contest entry at 10:00 AM. The opening ceremonies will start at 11:00 AM with a Flag Raising ceremony by the New Martinsville American Legion Post 28. Later that evening, the children’s pageant will be at 6:30 PM followed by the daily drawings before the first night comes to a close.

Saturday offers even more Autumn Fest fun, starting with breakfast in the Mollohan Center benefitting Relay for Life starting at 8:00 AM. Registration for the drag races and antique tractors and engines will begin at 9:00 AM. A Health Fair is being held for free COVID and flu shots from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Fun activities all day for the family include the Dino Roar show, light saber duels, inflatables, train rides, photo booths horse and buggy rides and cookie decorating. The ATV Drag Races sponsored by Joe’s Tire kicks off at 1:00 PM. The antique tractor and engine awards will begin at 3:00 PM, as well as the Magic Show with Bill Stokes at the Mollohan Center, before the Shortline Junction Band takes the stage at 6:00 PM. Vendors Trick or Treat will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Sunday starts with breakfast in the Mollohan center again at 8:00 AM before registration for motocross and the car, truck and bike show at 9:00 AM. A chicken dinner will also be provided, benefitting the Valley FFA and Alumni starting at 11:00 AM. Registration for the Cinch and Euchre tournament is at 12:00 PM, which kicks off the final day of inflatables, photo booths and train rides. The Motocross Racing event will take place at 1:00 PM along with the Cinch and Euchre Tournament and a visit by the WVU Mountaineers Mascot. The final daily drawing will be at 3:00 PM before the Festival comes to a close at 5:00 PM.
