Awards Day with a Twist

Lucas Anderson, Jacob Goddard, Sam Thorn, and Jacob Goddard - 6th graders were Lily Hatcher and Michael Radabaugh.

Paden City Elementary held their annual Awards day over multiple days over morning announcements for the 2020-2021 school year. Students were recognized for accomplishments throughout the year.

Students that received recognition for Accelerated Reader included Adalyn Herrick, Sophia Flowers, Sara Flowers, Ellie Greene, Marah Leek, and Cannon Matheny. Adalyn Herrick was to top AR reader in the entire school!

Students were recognized for submissions of poetry to the America Library of Poetry – Lily Hatcher, Madison Leek and Alivia Leek and Opioid Awareness art contest – Lily Hatcher.

Mya Farley, Bella Brumfield and Adalyn Herrick proved to 3rd grade multiplication masters this school year. Anthony Hatcher entered and WON an art contest with the WV Department of Environmental Protection.

Academic Awards Ceremony participants included: 5th graders – Lucas Anderson, Jacob Goddard, Sam Thorn, and Jacob Goddard – 6th graders were Lily Hatcher and Michael Radabaugh.

Students that achieved the principal’s list the last 9 weeks of school were Alivia Wade, Sam Thorn, Jozie Young, and Lily Hatcher. Students with perfect attendance are pictured with their certificates and medals. These students are Jackson Bucy, Cyler Cathers, Mason Fox, Alivia Leek, Kolby Grimes, and Remington Wade.

Lilly Anderson was the school and county Kentucky Derby typing winner A group of students were given certificates for their outstanding exhibits for the annual Art Show.

Libby Greene walked away with several awards recognizing her helping hand with other students with a Good Conduct award, a Citizenship Award for developing a charity fundraiser, an award for winning the school Younger Writers Contest and 2nd place at the County Young Writers competition. Congratulations to all of our students for working hard and making your own success during a crazy year!
