The Movie House Opens In New Martinsville
Friday night was a big night in New Martinsville as the newest addition to the community opened it’s doors for the first time.
Movie goers were welcomed this weekend to The Movie House. Pop Art Parties created a massive reel and popcorn balloon display to kick off the opening. The weekend was very busy with large crowds all three days.
“We’ve had an amazing turn out this weekend from the public. We are operating the theater at 50% capacity to adhere to state guidelines. Rows are staggered so that social distancing can be maintained, and the theaters are disinfected so that our community can come and have a safe experience.” said Holly Morgan, President of The Movie House.
The lobby area isn’t the only thing to change at The Movie House. The experience has a community based feel as The Movie House has done things differently and created their own pre movie ads and community messaging.
“These ads are created to give a local feel. We don’t use an outside ad agency to create them, they are made in house. Ads aren’t the only pre movie clips that run, we have a message from the Mayor of New Martinsville about the Adopt a Block program that the city is promoting to clean up and beautify the town. Using this platform gives us a great way to share messages for the betterment of our community and local businesses,” said Robby Parsons Vice President of The Movie House. If interested in participating in the advertising program contact 304-398-4910.
The Movie House will be open each week on Friday, Saturday and Sunday with show times staggered around the hours of 7 and 10 on Friday, 1, 4, 7 and 10 on Saturday and 1, 4, and 7 on Sunday. Movie times are on The Movie House’s Facebook page.
