The Giving Tree
The New Martinsville Public Library is currently accepting cash donations for The Giving Tree which provides new books for children eligible for the Esther Crumbley Fund.
The 27th annual Giving Tree is in place at the New Martinsville Public Library and ready to display the names of donors to the yearly project.
The brainchild of former employee, Mary Alice Pittman, the Giving Tree is a way for the library to collect donations that are then used to purchase new books to be given during the distribution.
What a wonderful way to enrich a child’s life and have a positive influence on their future by providing them with a book to inspire the skill of reading. NMPL hopes you will consider The Giving Tree fund in your holiday giving plans.
Cash donations for the purchase of books are being accepted at the Library. Donations may also be sent to New Martinsville Public Library, 160 Washington Street, New Martinsville WV 26155. For more information call the Library at 304-455-4545. NMPL thanks to the many community residents who have contributed to this project in past years.
