Chamber Gets New Executive Director
Dalton Haas has been hired as the new Executive Director of the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce.
Haas will be succeeding the outgoing Executive Director, Carla McBee, who was recently elected to the Wetzel County Commission.
A resident of Wheeling, WV, Haas has strong ties to the community. Among his many civic involvements, he is a Delegate & Board member At-Large with the Nation Apostolate of Maronites, Owner & Chairman of the Wheeling Win Festival and Board Member of the Lebanese Festival in Wheeling.
Haas also has an affinity for Hockey which has led him to become the President of the West Virginia Hockey League and USA Hockey Mid-American District Senior Vice President of West Virginia.
Don Riggenbach, President of the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce said of Hass, “We are looking to him (Mr. Haas) to bring new energy and new life to the Chamber. It is our hope that his enthusiasm can revitalize our organization and we channel that energy into the community.” Riggenbach later said, “I look forward to seeing what ideas he (Mr. Haas) brings to the Chamber and out Members.”With Mr. Haas’s leadership, the Wetzel County Chamber of Commerce is prepared for a brighter more innovative future.
Thanks to his many ties to local business leaders and community organizations in and around Ohio County, the new Director hopes to strengthen ties between Wetzel & Tyler counties and their neighbors to the north.
Many businesses from that area do business in these counties and those resources have never properly been called on in our region.
