Dominion Energy Employees In Action
Dominion had over 25 employees involved in the exterior renovation of the Pine Grove Public Library, on Wednesday, September 30 and Thursday October 1, 2020. Some of the Galmish loading crew preassembled outdoor furniture a couple weeks ago and some other Hastings employees pressure washed the building and cleaned the gutters. On Wednesday, Dominion had a dozen employees, one community member and a librarian painting and installing the furniture. Dominion Energy purchased the furniture and all of the paint and painting supplies. Martins Hardware donated Quikrete, the Town of Pine Grove donated mulch and Williams Funeral Home donated some gravel. The workers enjoyed a meal from Simon’s Market.
This was all a part of the Dominion Energy “Employees In Action” initiative which aligns with one of their mottos – Actions Speak Louder.
“Actions Speak Louder is exemplified through employee volunteerism,” said Christine Mitchell External Affairs Manager for Dominion.
“Our company’s “Employees in Action” volunteer program encourages employees to engage with the community through volunteer projects. These projects have a positive and lasting impact in the areas we serve while creating meaningful engagement opportunities for our employees. Despite the geographic distance between us, our volunteers reflect the spirit of One Dominion Energy throughout our footprint. All of our volunteers share a special commitment to better our communities. They are the heart and soul of successful volunteer activities,” added Mitchell.
