PC To Hold Labor Day Parade

By Staff | Aug 19, 2020

The Paden City Labor Day committee announced this past week that the annual parade held on Monday, September 7, along Rt. 2 beginning at the Southern end of town and proceeding to the High School, will take place once again.

This years parade will be held under certain rules and guidelines as set forth by the state and local agencies. The committee is inviting any organization interested in participating to meet near the Baptist church and line up for a 1 p.m. start.

They have announced there will be no candy thrown out this year and it may be more of a motorcade type parade with firetrucks, ambulances, polices vehicles and other entries such as antique cars, motorcycles, four wheelers, or your favorite vehicle.

All high school bands wishing to participate should call and make arrangements. Clowns, Politicians and local dignataries are encouraged to take part in West Virginia’s largest labor day parade.

Spectators are asked to line the streets, but take all safety precautions including wearing masks and six foot distance where possible.
